Throughout the weekend, at the frame of 48-stunden-neukoelln.de we will host sessions with artists Simon Weckert, Evan Roth and !Mediengruppe Bitnik, who will explore the theme of „Mapping the Internet.“

About the event
Ever since we started thinking of networks as cyberspace, we have also considered how to navigate and map them. This has ranged from the geographical locations of infrastructure and the visualisation of IP addresses and users to poetic and speculative approaches by artists, the tracing of power structures, and the personal and affective mapping of online spaces. The cartography of the internet has always been connected to foundational conceptions of the internet, its edges, and its fluidity.
Over the course of two days, we will read and discuss a variety of texts on the geography of the internet, including sessions with invited artists. The project space /rosa will remain continuously activated throughout the full 48 hours.
We will read all texts together onsite, so no preparation is required. We will provide either a link or a PDF.
Participants are welcome to stay overnight at /rosa, provided they register in advance via info@netzkunst.berlin.
