About the event
A film about the invisible operating system of the modern world. From an anarchist squat in Berlin, to a futuristic landscape in Taiwan, to a remote village in the Brazilian Amazon rainforest, we encounter a series of figures from the internet decentralization movement. These radicals are confronting internet infrastructure and the unexpected ways it exerts pressure on their way of life.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Dylan Reibling and artist Sarah Friend. ️
About
Dylan Reibling is an award-winning filmmaker and artist who works across several genres - from documentary to narrative work and interactive installations. His documentary work focuses on the intersection of art and technology - using cinematic techniques to draw out the social, political, and economic ramifications of new advancements in computer science.
Sarah Friend is an artist, researcher, and software developer from Canada and currently based in Berlin. Her work explores games, economics, and the self via engagement with emerging technology.
